Welcome to the official blog for Georgia Tech’s first-year design course: Intro to the Designed, Built, & Lived Environment, Fall 2010. This course includes students from within architecture, industrial design and building construction. This blog is a pedagogical experiment. A Georgia Tech class working to produce a digital artifact of their collective explorations into framing design, doing research, & negotiating with the outside world.

Our website exhibits two projects which unfolded simultaneously over the course of the semester. The Innovations Project focused around the topic of innovation & entrepreneurship. Next the Research & Framing Project was geared both at introducing students to what it means to do research within design and having students step out of frame of their design disciplines.
